§ 3-213. USE OF CLASS TITLES.

The title of any class shall be the official title of every position assigned to that class for the purpose of personnel actions and shall be used on all payrolls, official records and reports relating to the position. Any abbreviations or code symbols required by a department may be used in lieu of the class titles to designate the class of position for official records. Any other title desired and authorized to be used by the appointing authority may be used as a designation of any position for purposes of internal administration or in verbal or written contacts with the public.
